Paris man faces drug charges after undercover operation

Police investigations in Tennessee routinely involve undercover operations. Several law enforcement agencies in Henry County recently collaborated on such an operation. A Paris man was arrested on felony drug charges after an ongoing investigation throughout West Tennessee.

The Henry County Metro Crime Unit had pulled over a 40-year-old Paris man at a traffic stop. The man was allegedly wanted by the County on felony drug charges for the sale and distribution of meth. Paris Police Department officers reportedly discovered narcotics pipes during the traffic stop as well as items apparently used for the concealment and distribution of illicit drugs.

The man has been charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver. He also faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to reports from the Henry County Sheriff's Office. Police officials claimed that this arrest was one involving a purported network of meth dealers around the state.

The penalties for drug charges in Tennessee are serious and could range from fines to significant time in jail.
