By the time a man reaches 55 years of age, he can typically be described as having experienced many types of situations in his life. For one Tennessee man in particular, facing charges for theft & property crimes will soon be added to the list of things he's done. Authorities moved in and made an arrest at a hotel where they say the man was seen in possession of stolen property.
The situation reportedly began back in 2012. A trailer was reported stolen then. On a recent Wednesday, authorities filed charges against the man in question, saying he stole property and was in possession of stolen property exceeding $1,000 in value. He is currently being held in jail on a $20,000 bond.
Investigators allegedly viewed surveillance videos that helped identify the man as a suspect. They later located him at a local hotel where they say he was also in possession of other stolen property from several reported thefts in the surrounding area. As with any person charged with a crime in Tennessee, the man will be given an opportunity to present a defense in court.
A person preparing for arraignment typically has several important decisions to make if an indictment is handed down. A Tennessee criminal defense attorney may have keen insight as to what may be the best course of action in a particular situation. From whether to enter a plea to what type of options are available for a strong defense, a skilled attorney is always ready with answers and a confident plan regarding how to obtain a positive outcome in theft & property crimes cases.
