Paris man arrested for drug charges

A routine warrants check can often lead to more serious problems for some Tennessee residents. He now faces multiple drug charges as a result of the warrants check.

A police officer spotted the man at a local gas station. The officer reported that he saw the man talking on his cell phone outside the business. The police officer confirmed through a warrants check that the man was wanted in a nearby county. The 36-year old Paris man was immediately arrested and taken to the local jail.

At the jail, officers say they found 84 hydrocodone pills concealed on the man's body.  It is claimed that the man also concealed 1.1 grams of methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of the two drugs with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver. The man was also charged with failure to appear in court. His bond was set at $10,000.
