Drug charges filed following raid on East Nashville home

Police officers in Tennessee routinely search homes as part of investigations. However, they must go through the proper procedures and protocols to obtain search warrants to gain legal access to someone's home. At that point, a search can be conducted by authorities. A recent search in East Nashville resulted in drug charges against three people.

Metro Nashville police officers conducted the search of a home after they had obtained a search warrant. Upon the search, they allegedly found 16 grams of marijuana and 220 grams of mixed heroin and cocaine. Also reportedly discovered in the search were almost $10,000 in cash, handguns, rifles and a car. Police claimed that the vehicle was used in drug activities.

A 25-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman and her 24-year-old sister were arrested on various drug and weapons charges, following the search. In addition, all three face charges of child endangerment. There were supposedly children ranging in age from 3 weeks to 11 years old in the home at the time of the search. The children were released to a family member. All are being held on bonds from $48,000 to $135,000.
