Theft and property crimes: 3 men facing charges in La Vergne

Many Tennessee residents visit convenience stores all across the state for a variety of reasons. They may stop to pick up a few essential items in the market or fill up their vehicles with gas. However, three individuals allegedly picked up something outside the market that didn't belong to them and are now faced with a variety of charges against them. The three have been charged with theft and property crimes following an incident in La Vergne.

Police reports state that a man and his 13-year-old daughter had stopped at a convenience store. The man went into the store while his daughter stayed in the car. Evidently, three men got into the car and drove away from the store with the teenager in tow.

According to reports, the men allegedly told the girl that they would shoot her if she did not get out of the car. The men's faces were apparently visible on video surveillance footage at the store. The men, who were described by police officers as armed and dangerous, were arrested the following day.

Two 18-year-old men and a 20-year-old man were arrested and charged with theft of property over $10,000 and carjacking. The 20-year-old faces a charge of kidnapping as well. All three men are being held in jail on bond.
